Presenter Bio:

Rodney Whyte has been a pharmacist at Monash Health for over 30 years, the last 20 years as Senior Pharmacist, Monash Medicines Information. In that time he has worked with many departments and teams across the organisation as well as various community members and organisations, providing his extensive expertise in the use of therapeutic medicines, particularly in pregnancy and breastfeeding, paediatrics and women’s health.

In 2017 Rodney was awarded the Victorian Pharmacist Medal for his work. This prestigious award, presented by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), recognises excellent contributions by pharmacists at the grassroots level to improve health outcomes and the wellbeing of the general public.  

Rodney was recognised for supporting the community by providing information and counselling to doctors, pharmacists, nurses and midwives, allied health professionals and members of the public, and especially to expectant and breastfeeding mothers. He has contributed to the wellbeing of thousands of members of the community through his work and is proud that he can provide ready access to independent, expert opinion and assistance.
