Ksana Sant
VICTORIAN REGIONAL COORDINATOR
I’m a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Maternal and Child Health Nurse, and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), dedicated to supporting women and families through one of life’s most powerful transformations: the journey into motherhood.
I began my professional career after graduating from Monash University in 2019 with a double bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery. Entering the healthcare field at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic was truly a trial by fire. While many junior clinicians found the experience overwhelming, I emerged with deepened resilience, sharpened clinical skills, and a profound appreciation for the strength and vulnerability that coexist in both motherhood and healthcare.
It was during these formative years working across various tertiary maternity hospitals in Victoria that I discovered a true calling—supporting women through their breastfeeding journey. I developed a strong passion for empowering women through knowledge, education, and continuity of care. This passion deepened during my time working within a Midwifery Group Practice model, where I witnessed firsthand how consistent, compassionate care can transform a woman’s experience of motherhood.
In 2024, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Child, Family, and Community Health at La Trobe University, transitioning into the role of a Victorian Maternal and Child Health Nurse. At the same time, I pursued lactation consultancy training through the International Institute of Human Lactation and achieved my IBCLC certification in 2025.
I now continue to support women and families in these various roles, alongside providing lactation consultancy and pregnancy education through my private practice Matrescence Maternity & Lactation, where I represent LCANZ as the Victorian Regional Coordinator.
