Our next education session will be held on Monday 18th February 2019.
This is a great opportunity to network with fellow IBCLC colleagues, obtain those much needed CERPS and extend our knowledge and skills.
Presenter : Hayley Scott Medical student Topic: Variability on milk storage advice available on line to expressers
Hayley is a final year medical student at Flinders University. Prior to this she worked as a Registered Nurse in Neonatal Intensive Care and General Practice. She has an interest in pursuing a GP pathway with a sub specialty in shared care, enabling her to focus on support and education throughout the antenatal and postnatal period. Presenter: Leah Strauch Medical Student Topic : Role of Social media on Peer Support
Leah is a final year medical student at Flinders University undertaking research in the area of breast milk expression. Leah has a keen interest in women’s health and General Practice, and has focused her research on the ways in which Exclusive Expressers are and are not recognized as a distinct group among dyad types, as well as the ways in which they support each other through social media – finding the ‘tribe’ and shared experience that they are not able to locate in real life.

Lucy completed her bachelor of midwifery at Flinders University in 2014 and works in the Midwifery Group Practice at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide.
